The big day has almost arrived for the red-devils to achieve an impossible task. In-form Bayern Munich visit struggling English champions Manchester United who are sitting 7th in the league table. Every football fan around the globe knows the favorites of this game. But, when Manchester United are involved in a game, anything is possible.

A win for David Moyes against Guardiola's side would be a great boost for the unsettled scot.

David Moyes' men will need to take inspiration from the '99 Champions League finals as they look to pull a miracle against the Bavarians. It's never going to be easy to beat a German top side that won the league with 7 games remaining and are also 18 matches unbeaten in all competitions. The last time the German giants saw a defeat was in the hands of a determined Manchester City side who pulled a sensational comeback, four months ago. United players will need to pull their socks up and Moyes needs to keep his tactics no less than perfect to win against the German giants.

The Stadium

 Old Trafford have always been a tough place for visiting teams for years and years. Things have changed a lot this season as Manchester United have lost 6 games in the league at home this season which is more than the last 3 seasons combined and highest in the 12 years. In the Champions League, United are yet to see a defeat at home and the fans will be hoping to create an electrifying atmosphere at Old Trafford in the biggest game of the season.


The stadium will be set with a special crowd mosaic on three sides with the word 'United' in the Sir Alex Ferguson stand and the club's iconic devil on the other two sides. Guardiola's side will be vary of the threat the home fans can ignite.


Ins and Outs

Manchester United : The red-devils will be without their Brazilian right back Rafael Da Silva as he got a knock during their last league outing against Villa. Their main problem will be the absence of hat-trick hero Robin van Persie who has been sidelined for 6 weeks due to a knee injury. Also, vice-captain Patrice Evra will miss the first leg due to suspension. Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling might return to the squad.

Bayern Munich : The major concern for the Bavarians will be the absence of influential Dante in the defence as he faces a suspension. The Brazilian centre-back has been a consistent starter for Pep's side and Manchester United will be looking to take advantage of his absence. Also, summer signing Thiago Alcantara will miss the big match as he tore his ligament in his right knee against Hoffenheim.
